Practice with a metronome

What does BPM mean?

BPM means beats per minute. At 60 BPM, the metronome clicks once each second. At 120 BPM, it clicks twice each second.

What tempo should I use?

Choose a pace where you can play the passage accurately and evenly. A useful starting point is the slowest tempo that lets you complete the phrase without stopping.

How does tap tempo work?

Tap the button several times at the pace you want. The tool averages the taps and updates the BPM setting.
